How do I reconstitute peptides properly?

Clean the vial tops with alcohol swabs, then slowly add bacteriostatic water by directing it down the inside wall of the vial (not directly onto the powder). Let the peptide dissolve naturally for 5-10 minutes—do not shake. Gently swirl if needed. The solution should be completely clear before use.

What is bacteriostatic water and why is it used?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which prevents bacterial growth. It's used to reconstitute lyophilized peptides because it allows multiple draws from the same vial while maintaining sterility. The benzyl alcohol preservative extends the usable life of reconstituted peptides to 4-6 weeks.
